The extent of god’s generosity

“Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world” (Matthew 25:34).
Jesus raised the banner of God’s generosity to address the prevalent mood of people (then and now). For Jesus the antidote against worry is a child-like trust in God’s knowledge and generosity. God knows and gives.
In a sense God is the Father of all mankind (Ephesians 3:15). God knows and gives to every person. In a special way, God is the Father of His born from above children. His children are beneficiaries of some exquisite gifts/provisions (Psalms 37:25).
God’s generosity doesn’t stop at providing the daily necessities of life – the physical life, His generosity extends beyond our earthly life.
God gives encouragement and endurance
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus…” (Romans 15:5).

(Alternative translation: patience and comfort).
How does God give these necessary elements of life?
– through the Scriptures (Romans 15:4);
– through direct action as we pray one for another – “May God grant you…”
God gives us the victory through Christ
As we journey through life, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). With so much support, we are more than conquerors. But there is more! “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1Corinthians 15:57). That is the final victory.
The pinnacle of God’s generosity will be celebrated at the end of ages when God will give us everything, in Christ. “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also
, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32). God is generous!
